| Oct 20, 2026 | I’m pleased to share a call for papers for “Transformative Governance in the Digital Age: Towards Sustainable Urban and Regional Futures,” a special collection in Data & Policy. The collection explores how digitalisation, data, and emerging technologies can support more sustainable and equitable urban and regional futures. Topics include data-driven policymaking, digital governance, geospatial information, data infrastructures, digital participation, spatial intelligence, and people-centred digital twins. Submissions are also welcome from researchers who did not present at the IOER conference. Submission deadline: 29 January 2027. Articles should be submitted through the Data & Policy ScholarOne portal, selecting the special collection when prompted. The journal welcomes research articles, commentaries, translational papers, and data papers. The call notes that publication-cost support is available for authors without funding or an open-access agreement. I’m one of the guest editors, alongside Prof. Martin Behnisch, Prof. Sarah Giest, and Prof. Ursula Eicker. Read the full call for papers. |
